Creating a Modern Library: Hagley Catholic High School’s New Reading Space
Hagley Catholic High Schools library is more than just a space for books – it’s a space to foster creativity, learning, and collaboration. The school wanted a modern, dynamic library that would captivate students with its design while serving as a engaging learning zone.
Forward Furniture worked closely with the school to make this concept a reality. The goal was to design, supply, and install bespoke furniture that turned the library into an inspiring and versatile space.
From conception to installation, every stage of the process was planned to ensure a seamless transformation.
The Design Process
After consulting with the school, we gained a clear understanding of their goals and explored how to optimise the space for both current and future needs. As part of the planning phase, we provided several tailored solutions, including:
Detailed CAD layouts to map out the library’s layout and flow.
Guidance on finishes and fabrics, ensuring the colours complemented the school’s vision.
A custom-designed S-shaped shelving unit that served as a striking central feature, combining style and functionality.
By collaborating with the school throughout the process, we ensured that every detail aligned with their expectations.
